Meet the Management Team...

Matthew Corbett
After graduating from Sheffield University, Matt qualified as a solicitor in 2001. His post-qualification experience gained in practices in Peterborough, Stockport and Leeds ranged from criminal and family law, but now he’s a personal injury and insurance litigation specialist. Matt joined ClearLaw when it was established in 2005, where he’s the senior partner.  Married to his ClearLaw business partner Nicola Field, they have two young daughters and an American Cocker Spaniel. His interests are supporting Manchester City through thick and thin and collecting rare vinyl records.



Nicola Field
Nicola qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and has been employed as ClearLaw’s practice manager since it was founded in 2005. During that time she’s overseen a fundamental overhaul of the firm’s structure, operations and future business direction. Married to Matthew – the partner of the firm – they have two children aged five and one. When Nicola’s not busy juggling work with parenting, her hobbies include reading, keeping fit and meditation.





 
Jill Hyde
Born and educated in Yorkshire, Jill qualified as a solicitor in 1989 working for ASDA plc at its headquarters in Leeds.  She moved to Manchester in 1991 where she headed up the legal department at Boddingtons Brewery for Whitbread plc.  Jill is part of the ClearLaw management team and specialises in conveyancing and secured lending. Married with two children, she enjoys travel and cookery. Jill is also interested in holistic therapy - being qualified in body massage, reflexology, Indian head massage and aromatherapy - and even wrote a regular column for the Manchester Evening News.   






Andrew Kwan
A southerner by birth – born in Hampshire and educated in Warwickshire – Andrew graduated from the University of Manchester in 2003 with an MA. He met his colleague Matt Corbett whilst working at Schools & Co LLP and joined ClearLaw when it launched in 2005. In 2008, Andrew qualified as a solicitor and now he’s head of litigation in our personal injury department. A highly competent advocate, Andrew has a special interest in clinical negligence, low velocity impact claims and cases with allegations of fraud. Andrew’s hobbies are cricket and hockey. He lives with his physiotherapist girlfriend, Kathryn, black Labrador Rupert and cat Monty – named after the England cricketer, Monty Panesar.
