Elliot Abraham.jpgElliot Abraham
Elliot joined ClearLaw in 2008 as a legal consultant. He has over 25 years personal injury experience with particular expertise in the areas of employers’ liability; public liability; occupiers’ liability and road traffic accidents. His interests outside of work range from, supporting Manchester United and going to the theatre, to reading, travel, working out at the gym and following current affairs.   Elliot is married and has a daughter.






Rachel Ashworth.jpgRachel Ashworth
After studying with the Open University Rachel attained a 2:1 Law Degree, and is currently taking the Legal Practice Course at Chester College of Law. She joined ClearLaw in 2009 specialising in the negotiation of costs, and in November was promoted to be Shirley Stock’s assistant. Rachel lives with her boyfriend and when she’s not busy studying she supports Manchester United. Her other interest include reading, the theatre and modern history – including visiting WW1 sites in France and Belgium, 





Hannah Bardsley.jpgHannah Bardsley
Hannah graduated from Derby University in 2006 with a 2:1 LLB. She joined ClearLaw in 2008 as manager of our new claims department and is now a fee-earner. She is due to commence her training contract with ClearLaw in April 2011. Hannah lives with her partner, Adam, and in her spare time is a keen equestrian. She loves the outdoors and likes nothing more than to ride in the hills at the weekend and regularly visits the Lake District to go hiking or kayaking.

Vanessa Bond.jpgVanessa Bond
Vanessa originally trained as a lawyer, but has worked in PR for the past 10 years. A member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, she is ClearLaw’s communications consultant and has previously worked with brands such as Manchester City Football Club, London Fashion Week, Xfm and the international architecture practice, HKR. Outside of work Vanessa enjoys the arts, travel and horse-riding.

Lindsey has been with ClearLaw from the very beginning. She works as a legal secretary in the personal injury department. Married with two children she enjoys spending time with her children, swimming, walking and gardening.









Vincent Choy.jpgVincent Choy
British born Chinese, Vincent, is fluent in Cantonese. After completing his Law degree in 2006 and Legal Practice Course in 2007 at Manchester Metropolitan University, he joined ClearLaw as a claims handler in 2008. Vincent plays an important role in the new claims department, which is a client’s initial point of contact with the firm. He is responsible for assessing the possibility of a successful claim. His interests are cinema, travel and eating out.

Originally from Derry in Ireland, Padraig studied at the University of Ulster and graduated with an LLB (Hons) in Law & Government, before coming to Manchester in 2003 to secure a training contract. He joined ClearLaw in 2006 and qualified as a solicitor in October 2009. Padraig is a team leader within the personal injury department and deals exclusively with road traffic accident claims. His hobbies are football, fishing, squash and tennis.

Helen joined ClearLaw in 2005. A member of the Institute of Legal Cashiers & Administrators she is manager of the firm’s accounts department. Helen lives with her partner, two cats and a puppy. In her spare time she likes to watch films...lots of them.







 
Sam Cruickshanks.jpgSam Cruickshanks
Sam graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Law Degree and Diploma in Legal Practice. He joined ClearLaw in 2008 as a fee earner and commenced his training contract in October 2009. Single and sports mad, he spends his time away from the office watching cricket in the summer and football in the winter. Sam plays squash every week and is the co-ordinator for local football team, Trafford FC, which ClearLaw proudly sponsors.

Born in Poland, Ewa joined ClearLaw’s administration department in 2008. Ewa has a BA (Hons) in English Studies from the University of Salford. Single at present, her hobbies include music, ashtanga yoga, reading and hiking.








 
Janet Donohoe.jpgJanet Donohoe
Janet joined ClearLaw in 2006. Her role is multi-faceted: primarily office and facilities management, as well as supervising the fee-earner support team - who specialise in the negotiation of costs. Janet lives with her two daughters, Georgina and Jessica, as well as two cats – Rolo and Tabby. Outside of work Janet swims and plays badminton and volleyball, enjoys travel, reading and any live music.  
 




Timothy Dillon.jpgTimothy Dillon
Tim graduated from the University of Sheffield with an LLB in European, International and Comparative Law (2:1) and was awarded a Commendation for the Legal Practice Course. In between, he took a gap year to work and travel around both Australia and New Zealand.  He joined ClearLaw in 2009 as a fee-earner with expertise in the negotiation of costs. Currently single, Tim likes most sport, but has a particular passion for boxing and cricket. His other interests are music – especially Indie. He enjoys travel, having lived in Sweden for six months on an exchange placement whilst at university.


 
Scott Evans.jpgScott Evans
Born in Dublin, Scott’s family moved to Cheshire and then Tenerife where he was educated – obtaining A levels in Maths, Psychology, Art and IT – and lived until he was 21. He then went travelling with his long term partner, Jade, to Australia, Fiji and Thailand. On completion of his travels he moved back to Manchester and joined ClearLaw in 2009. He plays a key role as manager of the new claims department and also co-ordinates the website. Outside of work Scott enjoys extreme sports including scuba diving and surfing.

Doreen joined ClearLaw in 2008 as a solicitor within the personal injury department. She has a Law Degree from the University of Manchester and a post-graduate diploma in Legal Practice from Manchester Metropolitan University. In her spare time Doreen enjoys going to the gym and travel.

Angela Hall.jpgAngela Hall
Angela joined ClearLaw in 2008, after returning from Australia. She is a licensed conveyancer, a Member of the Council of Licensed Conveyancers and an Associate Member of the Law Institute of Victoria, Australia. Angela lives with her husband (whom she met in Perth, whilst backpacking), a Scottish Deerhound called Lewi and a rescue cat, named Alf. An intrepid traveller – her favourites to date are India and Burma – she enjoys horse-riding and is also a PADI qualified scuba diver.

Chris joined ClearLaw in 2006 after attending the Law School of Manchester Metropolitan University. After completing his training contract with the firm, he was admitted as a solicitor in November 2009. His only weakness is his love of Manchester United...he’s a season ticket holder.

Alex Herrity.jpgAlex Herrity
Alex graduated from Newcastle University in 2009 with a BA (Hons) in History and Politics. He joined ClearLaw in 2009 as a paralegal in the fee earner support department and specialises in the negotiation of costs. His hobbies include playing rugby, watching football, participating in pub quizzes, travel and Soviet Russian history – having studied Russian at A level. In 2008 he took part in the Mongol Rally – a charity car rally from London to Mongolia.

After graduating from the University of Birmingham with a History degree (where he’s still a research associate at its centre for First World War Studies) and obtaining a Masters at the Ironbridge Institute, David embarked on a career change and is now studying part-time for a graduate diploma in Law at Manchester Metropolitan University. David joined ClearLaw in 2009 as a paralegal in its personal injury new claims department. His main hobby is hockey, and he plays for Didsbury Northern Hockey Club in the North West Hockey League.

Greg is ClearLaw’s financial director. A Chartered Accountant, he joined the practice in 2005. Married, he enjoys playing snooker in his spare time and looking after his collection of Koi carp.








 

Laura Morrison.jpgLaura Morrison
Originally from Cambridge, Laura attended the University of Sheffield and attained a 2:1 honours degree in Law (LLB) and a commendation in her Legal Practice Course. She joined ClearLaw in 2008 as a paralegal and commenced her contract as a trainee solicitor in October 2009. Laura is currently working in the areas of civil litigation and personal injury. Her hobbies include horse riding – having competed nationally in dressage and show classes – as well as music (she plays the guitar and cello) the theatre and literature.

Aisha Reid
Aisha graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2007 with a 2:1 law degree, LLB (Hons). She joined ClearLaw in April 2009 as a paralegal in the firm’s personal injury department, where she assisted the head of department on cases ranging from road traffic accidents, employers liability and public liability. Aisha has now progressed to run her own caseload. Outside of work her interests are dancing and keeping fit, as well as travel – having managed to complete a sponsored charity hitch-hike to Riga on a budget of £15.00 whilst at university!

Agata Urbanovic.jpgAgata Urbanovicz
Born in Lithuania, Agata joined ClearLaw as an administrator in 2008. Apart from Lithuanian she speaks three other languages – Polish, Russian and English – and has two degrees, a BA in Polish Philology and an MA in Marketing & Management. Since arriving in the UK she has received a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting in English-Polish, so is a fully qualified translator. Her hobbies include hiking, gardening, swimming and cookery. Agata lives with her brother in Manchester.

Jennifer attended the University of Glamorgan where she attained a 2:1 Law degree. She joined ClearLaw in April 2008 as a fee-earner assistant to the practice’s litigation manager, Andrew Kwan. Married to another lawyer, Nick, they have two daughters. When’s she’s not working most of her time is spent looking after her children and travelling.

Born in Latvia, Dzidra joined the case-opening department in 2010. She has a law degree from Manchester Metropolitan University and is a qualified interpreter – she speaks Latvian, Russian and Urdu.  Outside of work she enjoys travel and sport.

Gary Ratcliffe

Gary works in fee-earner support. A law graduate from Lancaster University he is football mad and a Burnley fan. In his spare time he enjoys cinema, reading and keeping fit – he regularly runs up Pendle Hill. In 2009 Gary ran the London 10K and raised £500 for Bowel Cancer UK.

Katarzyna Malarz


Kate is our assistant cashier. From a banking and finance background she has travelled the world and has also spent several years in Papua New Guinea doing charity work. As well as her native language Polish she speaks German, Russian, Spanish, German and Tok Pidgin. Her hobbies and cookery, reading and playing chess.

Rachel has a 2:1 law degree from Durham University and was the winner of Lovells Tort Award in 2005. In 2009 she travelled around South America and India, where she was a volunteer teacher in Darjeeling, before joining us in 2010. In her leisure time she likes to play sport and go on picnics and camping trips.

From Poland, Emilia studied French Philology at the University of Lodz. She worked as a French language teacher before joining us as an administration assistant. In addition to Polish, English and French, Emilia also speaks Spanish. She lives with her fiancé and her hobbies are swimming, travel and rock music.
