APIL chief executive Denise Kitchener is set to leave the association after 18 years to take up a new challenge in the world of personal injury law.

Denise, who was the first member of staff appointed by APIL’s founder members, will join claimant law firm Pattinson and Brewer as Director of Business Development in the summer.

“During the past 18 years I have had the privilege of helping take APIL from strength to strength and become the campaigning force that it is today – a respected association which puts the rights of the injured person at the heart of everything it does,” said Denise.

“I have had the pleasure of working with many passionate and committed practitioners during my time at APIL, so this decision has not been an easy one.  But, at this stage of my career, I need a different personal test and challenge and believe that Pattinson and Brewer will provide me with the opportunity of continuing to help the injured person from a different perspective.

“I will always look back on my time at APIL with a great deal of fondness and pride and I look forward to continuing to work with the many colleagues I have met and friends made during my time here. My support of APIL and all it does will be just as strong.
