All Stars 2Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs & captain of All Stars) was presented with the winners shield by  Matt Corbett (partner, ClearLawSolicitors)

Earlier this month stars from Corrie, Hollyoaks and the Royle family donned their football boots at Trafford FC to take on the club’s Legends in the inaugural ‘ClearLawSolicitors Charity Challenge’ match, to raise money for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity.

The celebrated All Stars drew a crowd of more than 350 who watched Coronation Street’s actors Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw) and captain, Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) who were joined by Ralf Little (Royle Family) and Ryan Giggs’ brother, Rhodri, amongst others. Playing for the Legends were Trafford FC players from the past 20 years, as well as FC United manager, Karl Marginson.

The Legends put in an impressive performance, but following a closely fought game the All Stars were victorious beating them 5-3.

Matt Corbett, partner at ClearLawSolicitors said: “We’d like to thank Trafford FC, the All Stars and Legends for making our first fundraising event for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity such a memorable occasion. The weather was on our side, everyone had a fantastic time and we raised over £1,200 for a very worthy cause.”

Jenny Yates from Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity commented: “We’re delighted that ClearLaw has chosen us as its local charity. This was its first fundraising event for us and our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who participated.”
