Types of Will
There are many different types of will available, and so it’s important to choose the one which suits your circumstances and wishes. We offer a range of wills including:
Standard wills
Single will
A single will reflects the intentions of a single person regarding their property, assets and personal belongings after they die. Financial information, any homes, cars or other property you own will be covered. By making a single will, and signing it, you are making your requests legal in a court of law. Any request in the document must be adhered to.
Joint or mirror will
Generally a joint, or mirror will, is used by a husband, wife or partners with similar wishes. The wills are separate, but identical, leaving everything to each other respectively. When both partners die, their property and assets go to any children. If there are no children, then any property and assets shall pass to a named beneficiary who receives any items in accordance with your wills. In essence the will is two separate legal documents containing similar contents. It is common for each partner to be the other’s executor and sole beneficiary.
