- Obtain confirmation to act on your behalf
- Inspect title deeds to show that there are no charges registered against the property
- Obtain confirmation from the provider that they will lend on the property (depends on type /value)
- Request your date of birth details to establish proof of age
- Obtain relevant paperwork from the provider confirming their offer
- Complete the paperwork
- Forward documentation for your signature, explaining the basis on which the Equity Release Scheme is being offered and the potential consequences of a reduced estate
- Agree date for the Equity Release Scheme to be put into place
- Request funds from the provider
- Confirm on the agreed date that you wish to proceed
- Forward funds to you
- Confirm completion of the transaction affected by the provider
- Write to the Land Registry to register the property
- When registartion received, forward confirmation to you and the provider.
